Cornell U, being a famous show, has many versions on the site. Can't vouch for any audience recordings, but I'm sure someone else can - and this is probably a version of the composite (matrix) you are talking about. At least you can listen to it:

On top of that, you got plenty of recommendations, so I'll only plug my own personal favorite show: early 80's arena Dead at quite a peak. You can listen to a super-clean soundboard (the first link), or download either of two ridiculously high-quality audience recordings. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info. on the '81 shows.

The Barton Hall? '73 is still an enigma to me? The '77 show is great!

The earlier show had a kick ass version of Truckin>Jam>Truckin in the second set.

Ah, sorry! I'm no help to you there: I assumed you were wrong about the year ... but I suspect you may be wrong about the venue instead. I'm pretty sure they only played there in 1977 and 1981. The 81 one has a great short jam between Truckin and Stella Blue. It's a jammy second set, in fact, by 81 standards. There are some good auds of this one, too:

There is a guy on here who will probably identify your show if you come up with a few more songs in sequence ... but I am not that guy!

Happy listening!

Thanks. I think your right, I have the venue wrong and need for info. I know from the sound that Jerry was using his pre-80's guitar and pre-Godchaux's

Joe-Man,
Fenario80 lead you astray, not. The One you seek is not F80; the One you seek has spoken already.

You must fan the flame--you must turn the spark in the ember into THE LIGHT INTO ASHES!!

Download this show and listened yesterday afternoon walking around the streets of Shanghai. The Chinese must have thought I was crazy dancing and bopping down the street. Thanks for this recommendation--this is a gem.
